Spanish is IN!

Perhaps more than ever. That’s what De Telegraaf (Dutch newspaper) stated in May. But whether more Spanish should come at the expense of German and French remains to be seen.

If we introduce students to a foreign language earlier, in primary school, it becomes easier to learn a second and third foreign language. So I will continue to advocate for starting Spanish in grade 3, and from there, they can also pick up German, French, and perhaps even more languages. Let’s see how many students will master more European languages more quickly.
